ET-2255-32

The ET-2255-32 is a versatile I/O module featuring 16 digital inputs (wet/dry contact) and 16 digital outputs (sink type). Each input channel can serve as a 32-bit counter, and each output channel can be configured with a power-on value and a safe value to ensure reliable operation in hazardous voltage environments. The module includes a built-in 2-port Ethernet switch for daisy-chain wiring, offering flexibility in device configuration, simplifying installation, and reducing infrastructure costs. It is equipped with 3000 Vrms optical isolation for transient overvoltage protection, but does not offer channel-to-channel isolation. The module also provides robust EMS (EFT/ESD/Surge) protection and 3000 VDC I/O isolation to safeguard against noise in industrial settings.

The ET-2255-32 supports I/O Pair-Connection functionality, which allows for DI-to-DO pairing connections over Ethernet with a remote module. Once configured, this feature enables local DI data to be sent to remote DO channels in Push mode via Modbus TCP, or to pull remote DI data to local DO channels.

Additionally, the module supports the MQTT protocol for both publishing and subscribing to messages. When connected to an MQTT Broker Server, it can publish real-time I/O status updates and receive messages from subscribed topics. In case of a communication disruption, the module’s automatic reconnect feature restores the connection, and the Keep-Alive Interval mechanism ensures continuous communication with the broker.

The ET-2255-32 also complies with the SNMP V2c specification, allowing it to send module and I/O information to SNMP network management systems. This enables real-time status monitoring and, with the Trap function enabled, the module can proactively alert administrators to changes in I/O statuses or during restarts, keeping them informed about channel conditions at all times.
